Woven Through Generations
Olivia SchlevogtThis piece began as a gift from a daughter to her mum, to mark her 80th birthday.
The gold came from her mum’s parents. Pieces that had been worn, kept, and held onto over the years. Rather than leaving them tucked away, she wanted to turn them into something her mum could wear every day.

I melted the gold down and reshaped it into a bracelet, quietly incorporating the number 80 into the chain. A small detail, not immediately obvious, but something personal to discover and hold onto.

When she received it, she was moved to tears. She’s worn it every day since.
The sentimentality stays. It’s simply the shape that changes.
