Commissions

There is something quietly meaningful about wearing a piece of jewellery that already holds a story.

I work closely with you to create bespoke pieces that honour what came before, while shaping something new to be worn and loved every day. Often, this begins with jewellery that is no longer worn. A ring tucked away in a drawer. An heirloom piece passed down through family. Gold that holds memory, but no longer fits your life as it is now.

The sentimentality stays. It is simply the shape that changes.

If you’d like to begin a commission, you’re very welcome to email me and start the conversation.

The Process

1. Your enquiry

The process begins with a simple email. You’re welcome to share any initial thoughts, along with images of existing jewellery or design ideas if you have them. This helps me understand what you’re drawn to and what you’d like to create.

2. Design consultation

I’ll invite you to a complimentary design consultation, lasting up to an hour.

We can meet in my workshop or in your home, whichever feels more comfortable. It’s a relaxed, informal conversation where we explore ideas together. I’ll sketch with you, talk through possibilities, and help shape a design that feels right.

For many people, this is where old pieces begin to take on new life. Gold can be melted and reused. Stones can be reset. Elements can be reworked into something more wearable, while still holding their original meaning.

3. Making your piece

Once we’ve agreed on a design, I begin making your piece by hand in my studio.

Throughout the process, I’ll stay in touch via WhatsApp, sharing photographs of each stage. From the first steps of melting down existing materials, through to forming, setting and finishing, you’ll be able to follow the journey as your piece takes shape.

This step-by-step process gives you a deeper understanding of the craftsmanship involved, as well as the value of a piece made especially for you.

4. A piece with a story

The finished piece is more than jewellery. It carries both its past and its present.

For some, it becomes something to wear every day. For others, it’s created as a gift, accompanied by the story of how it was made. The images shared along the way often become part of that story, a record of transformation that can be passed on alongside the piece itself.

These are pieces to be worn, re-loved, and, in time, passed on again.

Some of my latest Commissions

Each commission begins with a story, transforming meaningful materials into a new handmade piece designed to last for generations.

An 80th Birthday Bracelet

Woven Through Generations

This piece began as a gift from a daughter to her mum for her 80th birthday.

Using inherited family gold, I created a handmade bracelet with the number 80 quietly woven into the design.

When she received it, she was moved to tears and has worn it every day since.

An Amethyst Ring from Old Gold

A New Ring with Meaning

This commission began with a collection of unworn jewellery and an amethyst that held special meaning.

Using gold from her existing pieces, I created a new ring designed around the stone her husband had given her, along with a second simple band made from the remaining gold.

Two new pieces, thoughtfully reshaped from what came before.

Follow the Story

If you have jewellery tucked away that you no longer wear but cannot part with, a bespoke commission can be a thoughtful way to give those pieces a new life.

Whether you already have a clear idea or are simply exploring possibilities, I am always happy to begin with a conversation.
